Born and raised in Texas, Kristin Moore got her MFA at Otis College of Art & Design in L.A. Leaving her home state sparked a feeling of nostalgia in the young artist, a sensation she now tries to capture in her work. Her atmospheric paintings breathe a sense of longing and a deep love for the landscape of the Western U.S.They seem to transport the observer - to take them on a visual road trip along stretches of endless highway, overlooking impressive cityscapes below infinite night skies. With almost cinematic snapshots she weaves a narrative of wanderlust and explores the human experience, highlighting subtle oddities, historic architecture, and elements of pop culture along the way.
