Andreea Zimbru’s artistic practice incorporates both the abstract and the figurative. Her subjects are inspired by daily life, yet always shift between two contradictory states: between the real and the unreal. Her compositions present a certain relationship with the unknown and provide momentary glimpses of an alternate reality.The Romanian artist graduated with a MA Degree in Fine Arts, from the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca and currently is pursuing a PhD in Visual Arts.Zimbru’s work has been featured in numerous publications and was part of several group exhibitions across Romania, the US, Greece, and Czech republic. The artist currently lives and works in Cluj-Napoca.
