Bio
Andrea Crespi originally graduated in industrial product design from the European Institute of Design in Milan. Soon thereafter, he chose to focus on communication and visual arts.
Crespi's work is the product of a continuous investigation into different media and themes. His subject matter includes, but is not limited to: optical illusion, social transformation, and the digital revolution. The artist's research identifies art as an instrument of perception and a manner of analyzing the concept of truth through a search for beauty, a search which sometimes manifests in an intimate, almost erotic, portrait. By capturing the fluidity of memory, each work becomes a witness to our time.
The artist’s personal interpretation of contemporary cultural changes often see him involved in various charity and solidarity initiatives. Andrea Crespi currently lives and works between Lugano and Milan, Italy.
