This series explores the phenomenology of dreams and the awareness of dimensions beyond the physical plane. The existence of the physical body in a metaphysical realm and the recurring motif of limbs in Mew’s works are derived from the image of his body transcending physical boundaries in his dreams. These anatomical fragments live in a liminal non-space, with no particular time or place, marked by ambiguous backgrounds of diffuse colour and texture, contrasted with projections of shadows and light from unknown sources. The artist's compositional decisions derive from digital and analogue techniques to produce outcomes relevant to an emergent digital age.
