Slovak artist Šimon Kučera graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. Today, he works mainly in painting, but also graphic design and sculpture.
Over the course of his education, Kučera went through various modes of visual presentation of the themes he wanted to explore, but eventually settled on the language of geometric abstraction.
Kučera draws his topics from the digital environment, an integral part of today's existence. Composition, colour, shape, and optical illusion form the cornerstones of his creations. The artist subsequently enters into a process of transforming and reconfiguring his finished works into new modes of display.
Šimon Kučera's work has been part of numerous national and international exhibitions and his artworks are part of private collections around the world. The artist currently lives and works in Bratislava.
