Rachel Patrick is a self-taught artist working in gouache, oil, and acrylic paints. She started her career in London, publishing illustrated books. It was only in 2020 that Patrick began pursuing a career as a painter, establishing a daily artistic practice to develop her skills.

The artist imbues her contemporary still lifes with an exuberant energy, using a vibrant colour palettes and elements of realism. Her paintings have many different subjects taken from daily life, such as food and drink, cosmetics, household items, or animals. Her bold use of colour coupled with subject matter that often evokes a sense of nostalgia brings back memories of childhood playfulness and reminds us that there is beauty to be found in items that surround us on a daily basis.

The artist currently lives and works in Scotland.
