Marianna's passion for art and creativity has grown as a strong part of her identity ever since she was little. Throughout her life, she has always been expressing her thoughts through drawing and painting.

Her greatest source of inspiration is in the contrast between light and dark which she often exploits in her pieces. She also finds great inspiration in nature and different kinds of materials and textures which she tries to bring alive in her works. Her appreciation for the depth and possibilities of different textures is also reflected in her painting. Marianna respects the natural elements and behaviour of her chosen mediums and she strives to keep her creative process as pure and intuitive as she can by letting the materials lead the way.

For Marianna herself, the greatest detail in her art is to leave something for the viewers to think about. “My art is an invite for everyone to dive into their own imagination. When people can find something of their own in one of my paintings - that's when I truly feel I've succeeded. For me personally, each of my painting is a reminder of the time it was painted.“
