Malwina Puszcz
Polish , 1992

Bio
For her vibrant and dynamic works Malwina Puszcz draws inspiration from the artistic movement of geometric abstraction, specifically hard-edge painting established at the turn of the 1950s and 60s. She looks to the artists who rebelled and created their own, impersonal painting style, abandoning content in favor of form.
Puszcz is not interested in high flown and complex interpretations of her work. She rather wants to share her sensitivity than a message that can be expressed in words. To do so, she employs an extraordinary purity of form and timbre whose interplay seems to draw the viewer in and make the eye wander endlessly through a world of energetic shapes and vibrant color variations.
The artist currently lives and works in Gdańsk, Poland.
