Danielle Debralee Elise Pamp, was born in Stockholm, Sweden but has been based in Vienna since 2015 where she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts under professors Ashley Hans Scheirl and Christian Schwarzwald.

Pamp's work draws on various art-historical references. Either through the choice of composition or by playing with the subjects' timeless look she disjoints time in an attempt to produce alternative forms of historical storytelling by including identities that have previously been excluded from art history (queer, gay, transgender, alternative forms of male and female expression, etc). The artist thus disrupts bourgeois painting's ”embellished” concept of normality, which is usually reinforced in most forms of traditional oil painting.
